I agree with everyone's critiques especially Laura's. I don't have much to add except to try to be more natural, maybe run the lines with someone since its hard to do a monologue that's one side of a conversation. Also, i would suggest that at the end after you say "shazam!" maybe act shocked, have some sort of reaction to what happened. I haven't read the books yet, but i hope i helped! :)

I haven't read it either, but I agree with Ciara Louise that it's very good acting-wise. As far as I can tell, I also agree with Laura Marie's critiques. (Sorry I can't be of more help.)

Thank you Laura Marie!! This is really helpful! I will keep all of that in mind!!

You keep pausing in between your lines, which is a bit distracting and unrealistic. If you really want/need to pause, make sure your eyes and face don't go blank. Stay in the scene and in character, even when you're not saying anything.

Don't be afraid to move! Gesture with your hand, take a step foward, etc. Don't force it, just move the way you would move/not move when talking to someone like a friend or classmate.

Try and put a little more emotion on your face and in your voice. Like for example, when Wisty's talking about the spell, maybe get a little embarassed, because it's kind of silly to try and do magic.

You're attitude was good, because Wisty is a very spunky, almost Max-like character. So, please don't get me wrong, this was really good! Sorry if my comment seems like a bit much I hope this helps!

This was really good.

I havent read the book so I cant really critique it character-wise although acting-wise, it was natural and believable. Good job on this. :)

Quit

Hey guys, you probably looked at the title and thought what?Well, I may quit the site. I'm super busy, and I always just get lower in self confidence when I don't make top 5. I feel like I'm a horrible actor, and I just feel all depressed, I'll never be famous and I'll never amount to anything, because I watched my videos I realized something. I can't act. I truly can't, and it hurts because I thought I was good, but I suck and I know a lot of you hate me, even though you won't go outright to…See More

The importance of a good headshot

I think a lot of people underestimate the importance of headshots. I also think a lot of people underestimate how good headshots have to be.If you do not have good headshots 99.999% of people won't even look twice at you. That is definitely a fact I had no idea of the depth of before I went to Hollywood this year. If you don't have an amazing stand out headshot, agencies won't even schedule an interview. Casting directors won't call you in for an audition.Hollywood is based on looks. To gain…See More

Advice?

Hello there!Okay, so this summer I want to be productive. If all goes well, I'm planning on writing a novel, going to camp for a week, putting on a play, and getting headshots (to possibly submit to agencies). It sounds like a lot, and I'm afraid that it might be a bit too much. Which is why I'm making this post, for advice, since all of you guys are so helpful and talented and such.If anyone who's written a novel could give me some help on planning and prewriting, that's my biggest issue right…See More

"I really love Legend. To be honest the in the beginning I couldn't get into it as well, but as it went on i started to like it more and more. I thought it was easier to get into Prodigy but maybe that's because I like Legend so much."
