The goal of User Based Casting is simple: to score one of our members an audition for a leading role in an upcoming YA book-to-film adaptation. To qualify, users film and upload a set of required monologues for their desired character. Fellow members critique these audition videos and offer suggestions for improvement. Users then go on to compete in Voting Cycles, allowing fans to determine which unknowns are the best candidates for their beloved characters.
So what are you waiting for? Submit your vote and help us revolutionize the casting process!

User Based Casting hosts bi-monthly Voting Cycles for our featured Book-To-Film Adaptations. We ask that you view our candidate's audition videos before casting your vote. (You do not necessarily need to watch each video for its entire duration.) The candidates who receive the most votes for their character are referred to as "Finalists," while those ranking second through fifth place are referred to as "Runners-Up."
Unless otherwise noted, Voting Cycles begin and end at 2 PM Mountain Time. Results are generally posted within 24 hours of the conclusion of a Voting Cycle. Voting Cycle dates and durations can be found on our Vote page.
Are you a Casting Director? Excellent! We're delighted to have you here.
User Based Casting holds unofficial Voting Cycles for roles in upcoming book-to-film-adaptations, allowing the book's fans (and the general public!) to determine which unknowns they would most like to see portray their beloved characters. Our end goal is for you to offer someone an audition for a role in one of our YA book-to-film adaptations, so please: mosey on over to your film's "Results" page and check out our Finalists! To get in touch with any of our actors, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
